Museums & Gallaries The Guggenheim Museum Once you enter there is a massive space, something like a hanger for a couple of 747s or 380s depending on one's taste. The dark metal structures, which by the way appear reminiscent of the great ancient temples at Zimbabwe, the are spirals within one can walk. In my innocence I entered the first one only to find that the wall were getting closer and closer as I spiralled towards the centre, and my claustrophobia started to get worse & worse. I almost had an attack as my breathing became more difficult & erratic . On reflection, once I made it out, I could not decide if the spiral was meant to be a depiction of a birth canal or of a student's mind during an exam. Some interesting art work in a smaller adjacent space. One piece raised a lot of smiles. At first glance it appeared to be two lumps of human excrement.
