2nd November London

** Well, after the last 36 hours of nonesence, relating to my stolen tablet and toiletries, I am back on the straight & narrow. Sitting in a Pret a Manger drinking my morning infusion of Americano coffee (obviously without milk) and a berry pastry, and staring across Trafalga Square at Nelson and his lions, as well as an assortment of generals who no-one remembers or really cares about.

** I am off to the National Gallery this morning and possibly into this afternoon. I know that this is a massive building, not quite the size of the Louvre maybe, but large enough to engross me for the better part of the day. I am especially looking forward to seeing the Rembrandts I have viewed in the past, but this time I have a slightly better understanding of the man, his times and his work.

** Images of my day at the National Gallery

Just came face to face with my 2nd only Leonardo da Vinci, the Virgin of the Rocks. Normally I would not waste my time on Christian iconography but after all, this is a Leonardo.
