31st October Paris to London

 ** Today I leave Paris and mainland  Europe for the last time on my current journey. I am looking forward to going home to Perth in 15 days time as it is the next logical thing to do for me. Don't know if or when I'll be back but while I was here it was fun.

I catch the 5:15 pm train to London from the Gare du Nord. Intend relaxing somewhat today as I ended up walking in exceed of 13 klm yesterday and as expected the old foot is feeling somewhat bedraggled.

I'll do updates today as and when.

** Well 3rd time lucky for someone, may they fall and break their family jewels on the night of their honeymoon. At some point between getting on and getting off the train they managed to grab my tablet and my toilet bag. I was totally unaware of anyone doing this. Someone told me the backpack was open once I got through immigration. 

What they did not get was my passport, my cash money, my Bose ear buds, my battery charger or my phone. What they did get besides the tablet and toiletries was a massive dent in my pride.

I immediately changed my important passwords. As the tablet was wifi only, I did not use it for banking and to the best of my knowledge they wipped it clean very quickly. It was insured but I could not report it stolen as I was in immigration no-man's land.

What was more important was the fact that they took my toilet bag. It had my electric toothbrush and this week's pills, as well as both of my puffers; one which was new and one that was going to run out very soon. 

Very annoyed! More with myself than with the so'n'so who ripped me off.
