18th October Essars / Bethune
** Hi there. Today is going to be one very lazy day. All that is planned, other than a long walk with the baby, which I passed on, is a buffet lunch at a location I am not aware of yet. This will be a very short blog entry with maybe a few landscape images but definately no museums or galleries.
** It is very strange that after 13 weeks highly successfully travelling on my own, and solely responsible for every moment & reason for my existence, I am now being told where to go, what to do, when to do it! Last night I was suddenly told that we have to return to Paris on Thursday, when I was under the belief that it was going to be Friday or Saturday, and that I must book our train tickets quickly, which I did. Only to be told this morning that maybe 'we' rushed into making the train booking.
** The buffet meal was really good, tasty & value for money. After finishing we went for a walk in a local wood to see the autumn changes in the trees
We ended up the day with beers and pizza in the centre of Bethune. Never realised that the town had such a middle ages style city centre. Many buildings were also very reminiscent of those I saw in the Netherlands.
A few night shots
