25th October Paris

** Sitting outside of a coffee shop, not far from the flat, (reminds me of the small coffee shops around Tash's house) with Karen, Marie, Emmett,Aiden & Mel near to the Park de Belleville, a location that offers amazing vistas of Paris. Hope to walk up there once we finish here. Should be some nice photos.

** We arrived at the top of the hill and the view of Paris was well worth the walk and the stair climbs.

"* The images below would be very obvious to some of you, but for those of you who are not sure what my photos are, welcome to the wonderful world of science. Today there is a partial solar eclipse here in Paris and just by coincidence we arrived at this high point merely 40 minutes after it started. (Same location as the Paris vista). There were members of the planetory society setting up a telescope with appropriate filters, plus they also have extreme dark glasses so that people can look directly at the sun.  I was aware of the eclipse happening but had no way of viewing it, so welcome also to coincidence and serendipity. This really made my day.

** A sequence of events commemorating the Paris Commune of 1870 during the Franco Prussian war, painted on a wall on the side of the park.
