12th September Munich
** So why is this day different to all other days? Those of you who recognise the source of this, smile, the rest just know that this morning, in fact in about an hour, I meet up with my Tash and Jeremy. Can't wait. They have been hiking the foot hills of the Austrian Alps while I have been challenging the high stairs of many museums.
** Courtesy of my hotel, every morning fresh coisants and really great coffee out of a really great automattic coffee machine. The coffee machine is available 24/7.
** Having hit 3 museums yesterday, I am taking it easy today walking around the Munich old city with my Tash, and fiance, Jeremy. We had lunch in the local market; they had a vegetsble soup with a kneidles, and I had a chilli concarni, but it came without the chilli. I had pour about 1/4 bottle of tabasco in, just to give it a bite.
** Boring stuff alert
There is something about the words 'Munich' & 'Beerhall' that are so random and sound so innocent, yet when put together and then placed into a specific chronological context, they become exceedingly frightening. In 1923, Adolf Shickelguber, at a beerhall in Munich, attempted a coup d'etat, a move that saw him end up in jail, that saw him write down his thoughts, and then slowly over the next eleven years rise to be the most powerful person in German. End of boring stuff
Tash tells me that this Munich beerhall is one of the largest and famous of Munich beerhalls. It can apparently sit 5000 people. I walked around it and I think that that figure is correct.
Me, taking the piss out of a very large salt pretzel.

Tash & I eating pickles. Mine was much tastier than hers
I ended up taking tash & Jeremy to the burger joint I went to last evening, but Tash ended up picking up the bill. She discovered that the small dish that the dipping sauce came in, was in fact edible.
