11th September Munich

** My hotel is a nice and very central but quite basic as yesterday's photos indicate, however, they supply round the clock coffee & tea for free in the foyer as well as salt rolls and coisants for breakfast.  Did not even notice this when I booked. Definately a winner with me.

** Got caught in a heavy downpour today but I was prepared.

** Decided to visited the  Contemporary museum of Art, some distance from my accommodation and I was just strolling along when  suddenly I came across a magnificent platz called Konigsplatz. With the news here talking about Konig Charles 3rd the word konig suddenly made a lot of sense.

There are 3 buildings in the platz. One is a very fancy walk through, one is an Ancient history Museum and the 3rd building is the Glyptothek.

An important point to note. Normally entry feed on Average can be anywhere from €10 to €15 per museum. You can save if you purchase a multiple entry ticket over a few days. I sort of won the lotto today because in Munich, not sure elsewhere, the entry fee on a Sunday was €1 per museum. You cannot beat that.

** decided to try a local burger bar called Ruff's Burgers. Not the cheapest in town but much cleaner than most. Most importantly I can order my burger my way. No cheese, onions, tomatoes, or ketchup.  The drink I ordered is amazing. Freshly squeezed lemon with soda water. No hint of sugar anywhere.

Ancient History Museum

They told me that most of their artefacts are originals rather than modern plaster casts.
