27th August : Copenhagen
** It's raining today. I have been fortunate that this is the first day of rain anywhere I have travelled since I left home. I do have my trusty foldup umbrella from Singapore, way wide rim bush hat and my shower- proof hooded jacket so I should get through it almost dry
** Breakfast this morning at Macca's at the train station where I arrived two days ago, and leave tomorrow at 8am.To ensure that my breakfast arrived the way I like it but in a foreign language country, I used the phones AI translator. The order arrived fine but the price dkr44 which is about A$9 is rediculous. I told you, Denmark is expensive, but nice. Even the locals speak about how expensive the cost of living is here.
** I bought a bag of salt chips. How far wrong can I go. Well apparently quite far wrong. It's not that I can't read the words chips or salt. Where I went wrong was with local knowledge. This is what a local would have been expecting. Don't get me wrong, they are quite tasty and filling and certainly crispy.** As it is raining I am off on a train ride to the Louisiana Museum of Contemporary Art. The trip is about 38 minutes. Again no senior person discount but the lovely woman at the counter sold me a return train ticket plus an entry ticket to the museum - for for 235, which converts to about A$45. Hopefully this museum will be as good as they market it as. The train ride alone should allow me a nice view of the Danish countryside.
** The train ride was way quicker than anticipated. The museum is situated in a little town named Humlebaek. Very cute but nothing to write home about.
However the museum in this small town is loaded with amazing works. I won't mention the names but you can simply use google lens to identify them.
