Interesting sights along the way

As I wander the countries and cities I am visiting, I come across the weird, the wonderful, the sad, and the laughable. Enjoy my views along the way.

Rainbow coloured phone boxes, like good little soldiers, all in a row. Come on everyone, support all people - why? Because we are all people.

Statue in Red Lion Square which if you look carefully you will see a pigeon nestled upon his head.

Found in a really interesting art shop opposite Covent garden station. Really interesting artist. He/she uses miniature people as the dots. Look closer.

The Mathematics Bridge in Cambridge

The sun-dial clock in Cambridge

Statue that actually is advertising a shop that sells and makes academic gowns in Cambridge.

A very interesting clock in Cambridge.
Took a video but I cannot get it to play on the blog

Instead of painting for money, this lady is embroidering for money

As I often say, I'm slow sometimes but I get there in the end. On a set of very steep stairs in the old part of Bilbao I came across what appeared to be a slide structure on the side of the staircase

Now some of you will look at this and say 'well that's obvious', but I needed to see these slides in use for me to go 'but of course'. What a simple solution to an every parent nightmare.

Three metal ladies

The puppy outside of the Guggenheim

Saxophones being used as beer taps at the Crazy Horse in Bilbao.

Outside of the Prado in Madrid a man was playing classical Spanish music. Although only one is showing, little birds were flitting around as if listening to him

For lovers of Doctor Who, a piece of sculpture along the Calle Prado that's seems to show where the Cybermen go when they retire.

Adjacent to the traffic circle holding the Columbus monument, is this large head. I could not find anything about it. If i do I will adjust these comments

The only thing I could think of when I saw this giant green frog was that it was advertising a French restaurant that offered frogs legs, which by the way are delicious, and do taste like chicken.
However, how wrong could I be? It is an advert for a casino LoL.

Around the up market area where I am staying in Madrid, there is a novel way of showing the street names.

Walking along when suddenly I notice a model of the Eiffel Tower being dumped. Not sure if there is any significance, such as an up & comming France/Spain sports game 😱

Valencian call to revolution in the 19th century

I believe this is a system to stop rats from getting to the top of the palm trees. Any other ideas?

Bubbles adjacent to the bascillica and remaining Roman round tower in the Barcelona Gothic Area

Micky's wooden cousin haunting the Gothic area of Barcelona near the Picasso museum.

Central courtyard in the archaeological museum in Valencia. Very Moorish in its colours and architecture.

Another bascillica entry in Valencia with yet another shield of David above it

Some examples of the old architecture that is found in the Gothic area

Is this an ancestor of C3PO? Lurking in the backstreets of the old city in Valencia?

A Dalek in training? Or a member of the cult of Skaro? A robotic floor vaccum cleaner at Heathrow T2.

This one is more of a meme of my own  I found this sign on the road of the small village near to the Louisiana Museum, north of Copenhagen. It checks and reports the speed of  cars but when taken out of language context, I leave it up to your imagination

Not a car one expects to find just parked along the road in a small village in Denmark. For those of you not familiar with this manufacturer, the car is a Bugatti type 40, one of the rarest vehicals in the world.

This is a marvellous innovation. Again I have never come across something like this before. A well pump that draws "grey water" from a supply that community use to water trees and plants in an adjacent community park in Berlin.

I was invited out for a meal last night at the home of someone I met on the train the day before. After supper I was offered tea by my hosts. I just had a Camomile tea but one of the options raised a smile

A photo  of a bust of a Bishop/Sant can sometimes take on a different meaning depending on the angle. I wonder why he is telling all viewers what to do with themselves.

The following toilet seat auto cleaner is a must for anyone whose tushy belongs to a princess.

This shop in Milan sells such bad taste that I placed the images on today's blog, but decided it needed to be placed here as well

** Now from the rediculous to the sublime. A hidden pond in the heart of Milan with about a dozen very live flamingos.

Zebra crossing in Brussels

This was on LinkedIn. I do not know if this is original or being passed along but either way I thought it was very poignant and very clever.

When left the British Museum this afternoon I passed an old red phone box and suddenly stopped. The museum, I think, had been tweaking it
